23rd Hello Kitty Theme Party

Chance upon this insanely cute hello kitty cake online which eventually became the theme of my 23rd birthday. I dont know why but i've developed a sudden liking to cute stuff in 2011.

Got down to painting kitty ribbons and dear daniel bows for the guys.

and as inspired by the cake we need geek specs!

found this solid gloss-black from Daiso!

Had to call up almost every outlet so i can get enough for all my guests.

Initial plan was to hunt for a HUGE black wig so i can place a GIGANTIC ribbon on my head + a red BIMBOTIC DRESS! picture that, PERFECT!

sad thing was, i couldn't find a huge wig in black =(

half the time i dont bother writing resolutions, especially when i'll pretty much forget about them 2 weeks into the new year! But this year alot of activities are definitely gonna take place and i'm really, really sick of many reoccurring situations in 2011.

2011 April will be a period i'll never forget, I'm glad to say I've survived it.

And i've survived it alone. Ego didnt allow me to seek help or share the problems.

So here's to motivating myself for the new year! Convinced my sis to chalk down our resolutions on our room wall! Sis from 2 years ago wouldnt agree to 'ruin' our walls, but now she actually agreed without hesitation! seems like church is doing her good =)

This Ettusais Quick-fix Powder (Limited Edition)

was one of the first few product launches I experienced.
It was super duper cute i couldnt resist buying one for myself!
The response was so good it was SOLDOUT island-wide!

I think it was also my first press event with Ettusais.

Barely 2 mths into the job, it was lucky & timely for me to be involved with

Shiseido's main event of the year - WHITE DAY

Pretty much to support n help Audrey through it =)
it was large-scale, huge budget pumped - AD at Orchard MRT, including the trains.

Had to prepare and pack doorgifts for the Press

The amazing setup for the 'Whitening Journey' right outside TANGS Orchard

Had makeup + hair styling + photo booth

& pretty ambassadors to pickout passerbys in white for our lucky draw!

We had more going on inside TANGS in the evening!

My first PR session, was seriously struggling to stay awake after a long day at work.

we all need to live with uncertainty, that's life, that's what makes it enjoyable. and like what xh says, "ultimately, it's to do things without regret".

it's good to put great consideration into factors to prevent failure, but when you overdo it u'll end up not trying and that's when u really fail. (& I know a few ppl who r stuck at this)

to a close friend: if you think she's so wonderful that you don't wana risk ruining things, why don't u trust the fact that she is wonderful, & that is why she can make things work between the both of you. have faith!

Had a pretty exciting day accompanying jayjay for his first haircut!
Look how untidy he is haha! cant even see his eyes anymore..

Ken chose to try e shop opposite his place out of convenience and here's the little boy looking scared.
Almost like he's hugging n begging ken not to leave him behind haha!

good job for not peeing on me in the car,

was his first car ride & he was shivering whenever we made a turn.

He did leave a puddle the moment i let him down.

2 hrs later we picked him up n i got the chance to carry him home in my arms.
he was so upset n tired after all the struggle through his haircut, guess the cuddle home comforted him alot so now he seemed to like me more. awww!! YES FINALLY!!

the haircut is a little too short but oh well, he shld be fine after 1-2weeks.

Got a delicious treat from Ken @Tajimaya, Vivocity. Said it's his favourite Charcoal grill. think it's gonna b my fav too. seriously, e moment I sink my teeth into that tiny pcs of beef I felt like I had a glowing halo on me. i wasnt expecting a juice explosion haha.

all of a sudden '2D1N Soju bang' (dont know if I got e name right) tasted like rubber to me. according to ken tajimaya is underrated, nobody seemed to have heard of this wonderful restaurant. good tt there's no need for long Q and u don't smell like BBQ PORK when u're done w ur meal.

it's ala carte and we went w e 2nd smallest set which cost ard $120++

consist of
2plates of meat
a bowl of salad
2 bowls of miso soup
a plate of vege
a plate of mushroom, pumpkin etc
2 ice cream mochi

ken also got me to try their garlic rice, u know I dont fancy garlic but omg their garlic rice is mad yums! It's like a mixed of e pepper lunch sauce fried w garlic. sweet than bitter.

I think it's so delicious partly due e person's cooking, like when I tried cooking a few slices it tasted a wee bit off fantastic. haha, we had a few friendly cooking match n needless to say I suck. so I let e master chef do the honor. my job is to chew my food happily.

been soaking it in salt water n antiseptic, but my nice friend Allen suggested & passed me a bottle of this 'double prawn herbal oil'. he said it works well for any injury, u guys shld totally read e description. toothache?!? seriously??? hahahah!!!

nevertheless it's keepin my wound from bacteria so I'm gonna continue using it. sucha buddy! haha

jus came back from a rooftop BBQ, quite an awesome night meeting a new grp of decent ppl. &everyone had to think of a recipe, grocery shop and prepare the dish together.

prolly did the most challenging dish in my life - deshelling, deveining the prawns, chopping garlics, parsley and chilli padi. tasted fab though, so proud of myself! no kidding!

bought a new toy for jayjay, so happy to see him playin w it!!! =)

deep down it's been a crappy day, but i kinda spent the night bar hopping to distract my mind.

you know, recently i thought i found someone whom i can really connect with. friends know tt i hate sms-ing all day long, but since i start msging K two weeks back (or was it longer than tt?). i've been glued to my phone 24/7. we could talk about zombies,aliens and all sorts of nonsense for hours. we share the same vision, same attitude towards life, equally laid-back, love to party and he seemed pretty devoted, caring and family-oriented. bottom line is i didnt have to guess his intentions.

basically the whole '3 reasons to like him and 3 reason to last', he fits the whole theory.

for once im like 'oh cool, finally no mind games.'

BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN! i had to be insecure jus cause he said he missed me yet didnt make a meetup happen. FMI (fuck my insecurity!) i hate myself for being insecure, but i cant help it. at the same time i figured i'm also paranoid! i think too much, really.

so for the first time today, we did the 'not gonna text u first' game. i dont know about him but IT SUCKED BIG TIME FOR ME.

i hate mind-games, why cant ppl sit down and talk about their feelings like 'yea i like you, do you feel the same attraction? then can we date and get to know each other?' apparently this simple line scares guys away, they think i'm trying to make them sign some contract to date or something. i jus wana clarify the intentions!

but it doesnt work with guys, they'll POOF and disappear whenever i decide to be 'direct'. but i always tell myself tt i shld continue to use this approach cos tt's how i am. maybe one day there will be a guy who wouldn't run off then tt's the guy for me. but everyone is telling me it's not right. grr...dilemma.

ah, whatever. let's see how it goes n if K turns out to b a disappointment like the rest. i hope not. =/

like I've mentioned on twitter, 2011 has and will continue to b a life-changing year for me.

seems like I've gotten a brand new list of perception towards life.

& I think I'm writing all these down, partly dedicating it to a close girlfriend whom I've neglected for a longtime. so she wouldn't feel like she doesn't know me anymore. ;P (S.Y!)

here goes on a random any-o-how way:

2011 is special cos in a couple of days i can wish myself happy 1yr singlehood anniversary! I've always enjoyed my singlehood but they nv last more than 6 mths since I've started dating in sec1 haha. so this is record breaking!! shake my hands ppl!!

anw abt the guy I was slightly emo abt since august. apparently he came back from UK at e start of Oct and contacted me on tt very day. I WAS dying to hear from him but somewhr along tt 1 mth wait my wise friend Eddie sat me down and told me this.

"you found 3 points u really like in him, tt's why u feel attracted to him. But did u move further to find another 3 points to figure out of this relationship is sustainable in the long run?"

that got me thinking, ALOT.

he is very charming, very real. intriguing to me cos he's Jewish and most importantly-weird. he chased aft a taxi jus cos e uncle refused to stop & pick him up. he bought his own speakers n mic stand, walked into a ice cream place, set them up & started performing to e public. But he sings beautifully so he could get away w it. oh n he's Buddhist!

so back in July when we met, I found my 3 points to b so attracted to
him.

then I took the 1 mth apart to think further if this can ever work out long term. Answer NO.

communication. I have problem understanding his accent, especially
on the phone.

social circles. he might b able
to fit in to mine but i definitely can't do e same. his buddies r all English and I feel intimidated. especially when his
bestfriend (female) doesn't seem to
like my presence.

culture. he thinks I live in a cave and vice versa. I'm clueless abt the films, songs and places he talks about. and he's nv heard of e songs we sing in Kbox or Partyworld. Rick price - heaven knows leh! Even 绝对superstar Chen Weilian sung it!

conclusion, it's not gonna work. game over. jus happy dating memories remains and tt's where it'll stay.

but really I thank Eddie for this, all these year I've been choosing my partners based on attraction alone, jumped into e relationship before I figure out the compatibility level. and eventually the real problems lie in our compatibility.

ivan and i were worlds apart when it came to compatibility - values, affection and communicating style. if we knew from e start, we wouldn't hv struggled for 4.5years.

Dating has jus evolved to a whole new level for me, think I'm getting a little too old for reckless loving. ;)

k shall continue on my other new perception towards life list another day.

love e price & e texture! been using the cream for almost 3 mths & I'm gladly moving onto my 2nd tube! heehee!

It's been awhile since i had an enjoyable dining experience.

Even if it's just for desserts, Tippling club @ dempsey hill blew me away!

everytime an item is presented to you,

the friendly staff there would introduce the ingredients and inspirations behind it.

Much like a fine-dining concept.

but i've long forgotten most of it thks to my lousy memory!

anw, e white-ish liquid in the tube is actually potato.

interesting way to eat it.

this is not a dessert, it's curry.

the garnishing kinda killed it for me, think it's coriander or something =S

oh yes, i owe a big thank you to Eugene!

thanks to his connections there we got to try all of these for free =)

i asked for a recommendation to a sweet sweet alcoholic drink,

& they gave me apple pie.

haha! the packaging is so cool right?

& the best part is tt it is sweet. didnt feel cheated for once.

this is my FAVOURITE!

a dessert called dempsey hill.

the name says it all, it is inspired the the surroundings of dempsey hill.

i love the combi of the ingrdients used!

there's pandan and kaya & premium dark choc in it.

this is my version of exquisite taste =P

yoghurt & fruits? cant remember! hee.

but according to them this dish is actually very popular, ppl prefer it over 'dempsey hill'

it is extremely cozy, go on a weekday to have the place all to urself.

there were a couple more choc desserts but i didnt manage to take photos.

i'm not too sure about the price range, but according to Eugene he said if we're gonna go for dinner u'll be forking out about $150 - $250 per person for a 10 course food tasting.

rough guage in price? we paid about $60 for the two desserts below.

Supposedly a food tasting session with the ZA Marketing Team at e pre-opening of Empire State @ Causeway point.

We were allowed to pick anything on the menu, unfortunately only Sam & I could make it down.

The rest of them were held up at the previous event. So our tiny stomach could only try the very few items below. =(

can nv go wrong.

Sam ordered this prawn base thingy.

errr.. i really dont fancy it cos the 'xin wei' was too strong for me.

but she calls it exquisite taste =/

decided to order a crab paste pasta.

quite a unique taste, havent tried anything like tt.

& the portion is crazy huge, could barely finish half.

+ if i didnt remember wrongly i found close to 8 shrimps in the pasta!

Sam ordered Steak, likewise she couldnt finish it haha.

i guess it's partly bcoz we wanted to share the recommended dessert =)

Sis signed up for some $5 HDB Flea & forced me to accompany her.

I must say it was quite a shocker for me, it was literally under a HDB block.

This mahjong table we had was brought there by her friend!

I figured selling brand new Vanz there wouldnt work.

Whereas the girl-next-door selling her grandmother's old clothes was a hit among the 'crowd'.

At least we managed to clear about 5 pcs of unwanted garments.

Better than nothing..hah.

Most boring 6 hours of my life.

Thank god i brought reading materials along..

I kinda dab the pigmentation on my lower lip for the last photo, which explains the blotchiness.

Didnt know it'll show so clearly on the photo aft i upload it through my phone.

Picked up this tip from the makeup trainers:

Girls with thick lips can carry the intense red lips by dabbing on the color pigmentation instead of spreading it. it'll soften the intensity so we wont have tt swollen sausage lips.

For your info, the original Skyroom is situated @ the entrance of Haji lane.

and they had their 2nd outlet at Clarke Quay Central level 1.

definitely more convenient IMO, so do check it out when you pass by.

I'm really amaze at how Cynthia can put all the different items together and create some sort of a signature style. it's not easy, this woman has talent.

Hello loveblog, it's been awhile since i wrote.

Been a crazy weekend. 2nd time (in my life) i've drunkslpt at my frontdoor.
Life's been really stressful but i'm still hanging on.

Seemed eager to introduce his friends to me,

wanted me to go work as his dad's PA,

Yea, i was finally convinced ard mid-Feb that i shld stop being so cold and give this a chance.
Yet sadly that was also the point he disappeared.

This fulfilling 2011 V day was spent alone at home baking

Italian name: Baci di Dama

Literally means 'Kisses from a Lady!'

'Half eaten cookie looked just like a person's pair of lips'

Baking noob me took 2 hrs to weigh & mix the dough & let chill for another 2 hrs.

i dont have an oven at home so i used microwave oven.

The ready biscuits after 30mins. So cute right!

now the completed look! kinda like macaroons right?? hee..

For the 2nd batch my sis was telling me we have a bottle of food dye at home.
which happened to be the colour of valentines. RED! =) also mua favourite colour~

Christmas 2010 was spent at Studio M, thanks to e lovely babe's suggestion.

Studio M was having promo so we paid about $400++ for 3D2N.

The Philippines (part 3)

i'm so lazy do series of my philippines trip so i'm gonna try to complete the whole trip in this entry in no particular order!

Let's start with e best, Wensha Spa @ Pasay City

This is a must go place if u visit the philippines/ have flights stopover.
As u're allowed to stay in for 6hrs for a single fee.
i'll reveal e fee after u look through e photos!

Lockers Room

Shower area + Spa pools!
Too bad there's no photos on the 2 round ice cold & 1 warm spa pools.

while u're in the pools there's a hugeass projector showing their local TV channel.

In that same room they have the steam room (as shown below) & sauna (beside e steam rm)

After taking ur spa sessions, head over to e massage area!

2 to a cozy room~

After massage, u are allowed to slp in so long u dont exceed 6 hrs for ur stay duration!

for me, i'll head out for buffet + steamboat!

i had my steamboat @ e smoking area below
i prefer this atmosphere!

So now's the price!
Spa+Massage+Steamboat buffet + Buffet = S$20~

CANT BELIEVE IT RIGHT!!!

Next awesome trip will be to Taygaytay Highland
The temperature there is much like Genting Highland, took us abt 1.5 - 2hrs clear traffic drive from our place.

Uncle Danny planned this trip for me =)
Dad & Uncle Danny will visit Taygaytay twice a yr to have the beef soup.
& according to them, the rich will buy houses there & spend most of their weekends there.

A cosy restaurant we chose with the smell of *Boracay Island* I'll find time to update abt Boracay e place of my childhood.

I was having flu tt night so no mood to makeup & all.
But gd service cos e waiter heard me sneezing he came up n suggest i try their warm calamansi drink.
& it does help a little!

heehee, sooo cold i rolled down the leggings underneath my jeans!

Food to compliment the type of atmosphere e restaurant gives ;)

Thenafter we went to chillout at starbucks.

& according to them, if i were to come in the day i'll be able to see e view of a volcano when i sit at the outdoor of this starbucks.

From what i observe i think the crowd here are more trendy & fun-loving.

Next MUST-GO place!!!
i dono e name, it's a row of seafood place near Sofitel Hotel.
Just ask around & u'll get there.

Seafood in the philippines are known to be extremely FRESH!
so here's the concept of this place.

Step 1: U shop for ur seafood.
(look at e floor: clean & dry. so dont worry abt staining ur LV bag/ bad smell)

Step 2: Pick a restaurant
Step 3: Pass ur newly bought seafood to the counter outside e restaurant

& tell them how u want it to be cooked

(The outside of e restaurant looks damn chui right? but this is e one my dad always go to, you wont regret it!)

You can choose to sit outdoor (below), it looks nicer.

Now the food!

i finally got the correct name for this soup!
(remember my 1st post on some sour soup @ max restaurant?)

i'ld say drop e previous & go for this. WAY NICER!!

it's call Sinigang.

I freakin love every dish except for chilli crabs.

i dont like sweet chilli crabs, be it in e philippines or in SG.
i'll have it steamed e next round.

looks little here, but trust me there's at least 20 tempuras, i counted.
The actual plate is HUGE.

there's 2 more dishes which was too far away so i didnt manage to get any photos.
This meal was a treat from Tita (means aunty) Vicky, it was meant to welcome me & to celebrate e closing of her 5 mil dollars biz deal.

So much food for only 4 pax!!!
thank god she didnt throw everything away but packed it up for her driver & maids at home.

There other Tai-tai eating with us was Tita Susan, she sent us back in her limo van.
According to my dad she does own an additional long limousine (too bad no chance to sit in it), she's a multi millionaire (in dollars) & she's part of the political committee there!

WOW. i was dining with multi-millionaires. hiakhiakhiak!!!

i dont really like chai taokuay in this form but this one smells & taste really good.

Warning to SGreans: do no eat fishballs in the philippines UNLESS in chinese restaurants like these.

i dont know why e fishballs there r different, it taste like harden flour (including takoyaki balls)!

Hello! gonna head back to SG tml & so i'm gonna blog all e pics i've transferred to my com. hehe~

alright let's continue about the philippines!

this is 5th December, my birthday. Dad drove me out to

Chinatown for DimSum breakfast.

I like e name of this road sign, there's hardly any road sign ard & they r all so small n high up.

See, there's no lane dividers on the road, just drive only!

Lots of ppl selling stuff on the road.

But comparing to my last trip 10yrs ago, i see much lesser homeless kids begging on the road.

Here we are, Manila Chinatown.

I dont know why all the chinatown in asia countries has to look dirty.

According to my dad, this is the chinese's fire engine.

Somewhat like supported by the Chinese association.

I've had dimsum @ about 3-4 places during my trip. I'll say come only to chinatown, it's not fantastic but it's good enough to satisfy u if u're craving it. (to sara, fy, ernie: Better than tunglok)

@ other places, my fried wonton turns out to be chicken filling, my har kau is steamed wonton. siew mai is plain disgusting. VERY ANNOYING.

Beautiful weather, not hot & humid like SG.

MY LOVE! I had KFC twice, it's heeeeeeeeellllllllllllllll yummy!!! the chicken parts r smaller, but e chicken here are like those in Malaysia- very tasty!

Oh! & they dont only have flavours in Original & Crispy, they also have Spicy Lime.

See what i mean by they freaking love sour food? & I LOVE SPICY LIME!

& im very impressed with their delivery, comes with rice, ICE and plastic cups!
Maybe they dont do it in SG cos if they deliver ice to SGrean, & 2 of the ice cubes melt we will complain.

Approaching Mall of Asia!

Here's a brief intro from Wikipedia:

'SM Mall of Asia is the 3rd largest shopping mall in Asia and the 4th^[1] (Ref. Forbes' World's 10 Largest Shopping Malls) largest shopping mall in the world.'

Reminds me a lil' of our Vivo City.

What u see in the picture is only half of Mall of Asia, imagine an exact mirror image to what u see extending through the right of the pic.

Here's one of my dad's favourite cake shop.

The cakes r very rich so we shares 3 slices + smoothies. I like!

My all-time fav: cheesecake, tiramisu & baileys~

Shopping in Mall of Asia will cost you about 1900 ~ 6000 Peso for a single dress. mostly 2000 ~ 3000 peso. divide it by 32.5.
it's pretty much like shopping in ION Orchard.

SO next day Uncle Charlie came back to work & i was complaining to him tt it's so expensive @ Mall of Asia, i want to find BARGAINS! Tt's e whole point of shopping overseas right?!

So he brought me to a local mall, i didnt see any tourist there.
& dad says it's where the middle class & below shops.

Yup tt's e mall, 168!

near chinatown.

Most of e stuffs r below S$10, but the moment they realise im not local e price will jump about 100-200 peso. BUT IT'S STILL CHEAP!

So when i shop there i'll pick e item then my dad / uncle charlie will ask for the price & bargain.
It's very very crowded n narrow in there so u have to be careful of pickpockets, but i highly doubt it's possible to get robbed. So relatively safe, just be careful with ur belongings.

I didnt manage to even finish 1/4 of 168 =( & i think e shops upstairs has nicer stuff!
Dad got a blister from walkin & we had to leave be4 e local end work cos it'll be too crowded in there.
I'M DEFINITELY GOING BACK THERE NEXT TRIP!

All of the above (including the bags) cost me a total of S$77.

E quality is slightly better than those u get in thai fleas.

Then we da bao Andok's Chicken & Pork back for dinner.

168 is really cheap compared to what i got from the robinson's mall (Previous post). Only managed to get below for S$70. Maybe cos gifts for my sis more expensive.

The Philippines (Part 1)

Arrived in the Philippines in the evening about 9pm, so blogging will start from Day 2.

This is the room i was supposed to slp in, but it's been converted to his personal office =/

So i gotta slp on a lousy tilam on the floor of the other room which thankfully was 3 times the size of this.

MISS MY SOLID (in a gd way) MATTRESS IN SG! *cries!*

& this is the roof deck pool i was intending to swim in everyday but till now i havent dip a finger into it.

Keep fit plan CANCELLED.

Becos it's a Sat & uncle charlie only has to work half day, dad is the one to drive me ard!

Visible bad traffic the moment we're out from the carpark!

& we had to turn out in the opposite direction at the outer lane, crazy.

Terrible traffic in the philippines is partly due to these colourful jeepneys.
Even in the middle of a highway, so long someone signals to board, they will stop right there to allow pickup.

I can clearly see my dad feeling annoyed whenever he drives, tt's why we're just heading to a nearby mall.

Other modes of transport.

This photo is funny to me cos i was told tt once, dad & uncle charlie walked to the nearby market to get groceries & they both squeezed into this tricycle on their way back coz dad was lazy to walk home.

Just imagine: fat dad + uncle charlie + skinny tricycle rider. HAHAHAHAH!!..so funny.

I'm so excited to see Jollibee again! It's my fav childhood fastfood restaurant!
But now tt i try it again, i dont love e taste anymore cos the spag is too sweet for me.

I freakin LOVE the soup! It's a sour taste, & pinoys beats the thais in the threshold for sourness.

U will always find calamansi served in every restaurant with every dish.

Weirdest is tt they even mix calamansi with light soy sauce.

btw i think the soup is call sinalag or something along tt line.

Back hm aft lunch cos we're heading far out for dinner.

Yes, i wana kaobei the dumb multi storey carpark @ our place.
This tight fitting barely enough for 1 car's width is actually a 2-WAY route.

So u gonna on e headlights & constantly horn to alert any car heading towards u in the opp direction.

& parking is along the slopes (pic 2) + they provide green/red signal light (pic 3) to tell u if it's safe to proceed. HOWEVER, sometimes it lights up in green in both directions!

Uncle Danny wants to give e a dinner treat & dad doesnt wana drive out tt far cos he thinks his blood pressure will increase so we're gonna try the LRT to bring us to Caloocan City.

From there Uncle Danny drove us to Quezon City for dinner at Kimono Ken.
But really, Kimono ken can be found at many nearer places.
Oh well, good to visit other cities.

He ordered a MAD amount of food for 3! & he doesnt like ppl to waste food so we had to finish them all. *faint*
*Stabs myself for ordering tempura udon!*

Just when dad & i barely made it through, he ordered desserts. Feng le!

Surprisingly the bill only came up to S$80, wow.

22nd Birthday Suprises!

Before i start with my philippine trip, my awesome friends gave me a series of surprise bd celebration. First was the SIM peeps. They secretly gathered at this Korean BBQ Eatery called 'Red Pig' along Ann Siang St, Take exit G Tanjong Pagar Station.

The way of eating is exactly the same as the BBQ we had at Mindy's place, meat wrap in veggie style (cant remember what is it called again!). Every table comes to a pipe to suck up the BBQ smoke, how considerate of the koreans!

This is the only long table they have, so u might have to wait if going in big grps.

We ordered pork belly & spicy chicken, gotta BBQ till it's semi-cooked be4 u cut them into smaller pieces for your wraps!

There is no Korean gathering without SOJU. Bloody potent i'm telling u. one shot n i'm all red! way stronger than tequila shots!

The biggest surprise of all is tt they even tried to contact xiuhui n wenya to join the celebration. Effort! & super touched!

Xiuhui is getting too thin!! Eat more!

Even Steven Oppa came down to join us.

And Mindy's bro who's always helping out with the BBQ

They got me cheesecake from Swissbake, love cheesecake! *slurp*

And the night didnt end there, we went on to this korean cafe a lane away called (something)chicken. i dont know why its always related to pig/chicken hahaha. Pretty much went there to drink n so i can try their chicken wings.

This is the chicken wing they insist i try. It's *both thumbs up*, super juicy! and it doesnt taste like how we fry our local chicken wings at all. Love it!

Total damage there: S$100 (wings + 4 Litres of beer)

and yes the night ended there cos we were all too full to move.

Next evening was a dinner treat from Wanxin. Fangyi, Xiuhui and Mandric were also there.

They brought me to a place recommended by Weilong called Rice Bowl. Think i ate ala-cart there before but this time rd we had their dinner buffet for S$28++ each.

I really love it! cos 1stly i love indonesian food, 2ndly it's a 21course meal (mouthwatering to look at how they put all 21 course in front of u to start off.) Really enjoyed it much! Thank you!!!!!

I'm begging for a bowl of plain porridge for my next meal but no chance. tml gonna be heading to chinatown in the morn + lunch. but i think i'll push my next shopping trip to monday. Malls here r too huge, bloody tiring to shop..

it's over now...
i cant stop my tears but i feel.. oddly peaceful. i've decided to let the bitterness go and we've managed to end things peacefully. I did my best for this 4 yrs+ r/s and he changed alot (for the better) since we got back from tt major breakup. but no matter how hard we try to hold on to each other, there are still differences we cannot compromise. So this is the only way out...

no more regrets, no more turning back. he has also promise me on that.

it's gonna be tough, his photos, his msgs, his stuff, his presents, his habits, they are everywhere. i will need some time to find them & remove them. it does feel weird to be single after so long. and i think the hardest of all will be the absence of his shoulders n hugs which i always seek whenever im upset or happy.These, r irreplaceable..

but dont worry, i've learned to re-live my days without him before so i will manage this time round. Those days were hell, but this time he is here to support me. we will help each other by moving on well, it's easier for me if i know he isnt hurting much. so i will show him the same..

ivan i hope your friends will be there for you, cos my friends will. so dont worry. i'll be fine soon. Hope we'll both find a more compatible partner to spend the rest of our lives with, i will give u my blessings.

Let me reminisce abt the Philippines.
I miss jollybean spaghetti, mini fishballs w unique sweet sauce, cheap pizzas, super tender pig trotter @ e Chinese restaurant, uncle charlie n his new family members whom I've haven't met. I won't hv much $ for shopping. But I can stay home to help my dad w his work, maybe he'll pay for my shopping hehe. I can spend most of e time by e pool/ @ e gym to lose weight n get back in shape. Maybe I can use e time stuck at home (cos it's dangerous to walk to e malls thr) to complete my little business plan w my Sis. Maybe it will calm my mind and calm my nerves. Do e things i wana do. Or will it cause things to worsen cos thr's no one thr to distract me, except to fight w my dad.

2 weeks or 1 mth? Sigh I don't know. I only hv a week left to think n plan.

I' ll be having some alone time in the office tml, tt's why i'm allowing myself to stay up abit later thn usual. My colleague, exe & manager will be heading off for a job fair @ cck ite. looking forward to the day where no one is watching my back. i dono if i love/hate going to work. cos i'm feeling really down & it seems like it's during office hours tt i'm able to feel distracted from all the frustrations.

& i'm starting to think tt long walk home through the carpark is filled with depressive energy, disappointing images nv fail to flash through, insensitive/hurtful comments kept repeating in my ears. accompanied with a few drops of tears.

i have nv in my life read a msg so disappointing tt the screenshot is stuck in my head, every single word in it imprinted clearly. i think i'ld rather hear u say tt u've met someone who might be more suitable for u. i'll probably not feel so pathetic, at least i'm being compared to someone and not something. Your choice turned me into a joke. i spent 4 freaking years trying to merge a life with you and at the end my importance is merely equivalent to ur other choice. Especially when u need as long as 2 weeks to ask urself which is the choice worth keeping. Really? do u have to insult a human this way?

Also, u've asked me to buy a tix so u'll be able to attend my graduation ceremony. but i bet u've long forgotten about it and it was a wasted ticket from e start. why did i even bother to keep it available for u?
